The hand with a baby in the palm sculpture outside the police station in Paraparaumu is well known, and recently someone decided to dress the baby in knitwear — story.

A replica of the park sculpture in Glarus, Switzerland, “The Caring Hand”, would perhaps be a good companion in the Mahara Place area in Waikanae?  Put around the nikau palm tree there, it would be a palm tree in more ways than one. 🙂
