Reports of people being diagnosed with shingles on the rise

Doctors and scientists are seeing an increase in the reactivation of the chickenpox virus, known as varicella-zoster virus (VZV), following the covid injections.

The chickenpox virus is one of the eight herpes viruses known to infect humans. After a person contracts and recovers from chickenpox, the virus never leaves the body but lies dormant in the nervous system for life.

The chickenpox virus will show up as shingles, or herpes zoster (HZ) when it gets reactivated.

Federal health authorities claim that there’s no correlation between covid injections and shingles, but studies show that there is a higher incidence of shingles in people who’ve received the vaccine.

Israel was one of the earlier countries to publish a case series of six women (out of 491 participants) with an autoimmune disorder who developed shingles 3 to 14 days after receiving the first or second dose of Pfizer covid shot. None of the 99 participants in the control group developed shingles. The study was published in the journal Rheumatology in April 2021.

“To our knowledge, there were no reports of varicella-like skin rash or HZ in the mRNA-based vaccines covid clinical trials and our case series is the first one to report this observation in patients within a relatively young age range: 36–61, average age 49 ± 11 years,” the authors wrote.

They hoped that publishing the case series would “raise awareness to a potential causal link between covid ‘vaccination‘ as a trigger of HZ reactivation in relatively young patients with stable AIIRD [autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases].”

In a different case study from Taiwan, researchers reported three healthy men ages 71, 46, and 42 who developed shingles two to seven days following the first dose of the Moderna or AstraZeneca covid injection.

“HZ does not often appear after the administration of other kinds of vaccinations,” the researchers wrote. “But we believed that there might be a link between covid ‘vaccine’ and HZ emergence.”

“One of the reasons is the short delay of onset after vaccination. The other reason is that these three patients were immunocompetent,” they added.

The past few weeks have revealed our health system for what it truly is: a rudderless, wounded beast borne from a hierarchy of political mismanagement and apathy.

It is not a failing of our health workers. On the contrary, our nurses are slugging it out on the frontline, doing their best to counter a deeply flawed immigration system that has ripped a cavernous black hole in our health system.

No. It is a failure of the Ministry of Health and the Government to perform the simplest of undertakings: a horizon scan. Or perhaps they did?

Did the Ministry, in the process of managing our Covid response, identify emerging risks to the very structure of our health system? If not, why not? And if it did, why did it not act and implement a cross-government approach to mitigate those risks?

Staffing shortages

Today, our health system is short of 4000 nurses. That is a staggering shortfall that is, without question, costing lives. And it is a damning indictment on the Ministry of Health and this Government because it reveals a fundamental failure to lead, strategise, and plan ahead to counter the impact of its Covid response on the public health system.

It is true that Omicron and the winter ‘flu have played a part in staffing shortages, but they are short term. Our flawed immigration policy is what has truly devastated the sector, along with the Government’s stubborn refusal to accept the impact of its decisions.

If only, like the Australians, Immigration New Zealand had continued processing visas when our border closed. If only, like the Australians, we had offered nurses a direct path to residency. If only, like almost all of our peer nations, we had offered nurses a competitive incentive to come to New Zealand.

Jacinda Ardern is jetting off to meet with NATO and hold a series of meetings on security issues, including Ukraine. It cannot be lost on the Prime Minister that just as she leaves, our health system is shifting into an operational environment akin to wartime conditions.

Media reports of incidents increase

Staff within the sector speak of a system at “breaking point” Senior specialists have told me they are “fearful of the months ahead” and patients are waiting months for elective surgery, oncology, and screening appointments. In the media, the stories of suffering and untimely deaths are beginning to filter through.

This week, Stuff published the story of a pregnant woman who was told her daughter had died in her womb. The woman was sent home because of staffing issues at Wellington Hospital. It was two days before she could return to deliver her stillborn baby.

It followed the story of a woman who presented at the emergency department of Middlemore Hospital with a severe headache. She left after being told it was an eight-hour wait to see a doctor. Three hours later, the woman returned in an ambulance. She later died from a brain bleed. She was my age.

And this week, the Capital and Coast and Hutt Valley DHBs cancelled all planned surgeries for a month. One orthopaedic surgeon said it would affect hundreds, if not thousands, of patients.

The list of cancelled surgeries in Wellington is extensive: hip replacements, back surgery, shoulder replacements, knee replacements, hysterectomies, hernias, gallstones, endometriosis procedures, vasectomies, tonsillectomies … and so it goes on. They have all been pushed out by a month because of staff shortages.

One surgeon said he could still perform hip replacements but he had cancelled every procedure because there were no nurses on the recovery ward.

The Prime Minister says the nursing shortage is a global issue but her government’s response can only be described as that of an interested bystander. Neither the Ministry of Health nor Immigration New Zealand have provided what Kiwis are usually pretty good at: finding a New Zealand solution to a global issue.

Instead, we’ve watched on as Britain, Canada and Australia have structured targeted schemes to attract the world’s nurses, including our own, to their shores.

Cruel irony

It is a very cruel irony that we have allocated billions to our Covid health response, but it is at the expense of investment in the everyday, critical health needs of Kiwis.

This situation was avoidable.

I interviewed Ananish Chaudhuri, Professor of Experimental Economics at the University of Auckland, this week. He has taught at Harvard Kennedy School, Rutgers University and Washington State University too.

His just-released book, ‘Nudged into Lockdown? Behaviour Economics, Uncertainty and Covid-19’ looks at the decision-making that drove New Zealand’s Covid-19 response.

Professor Chaudhuri believes the aggregate cost of lockdowns will ultimately lead to a greater loss of life than the virus.

He writes: “…worldwide, there was tremendous emphasis on calling upon epidemiological expertise without an adequate appreciation that Covid-19 was not merely an epidemiological crisis; it was an economic, social and moral crisis that required multi-disciplinary expertise to assess and address different facets of the pandemic.”

The election factor

Under this Government’s leadership, it is unclear whether we will ever consider what we could have done better, or the impact of lockdowns on public health, the economy and society. The Prime Minister has shown a reluctance to look in the rear vision mirror. There is an election next year, after all.

Instead, the Government says the new Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act is a once in a generation chance to reconfigure our public health system and it will address many of the issues raised here. Will it? It comes into effect in a matter of days and quite what it will achieve – and by when – is anybody’s guess.

There are some harsh truths we need to face but it will take bravery, transparency, and honesty on the part of this Government if we are to do so.

Last week our article was about Magic Botanical Liquid (MBL) and how this natural product made an incredible difference to your plants and gardens.

Then a few weeks back we used information from a reader about how he greatly improved his fruit trees with another natural product ‘Apple Cider Vinegar’.

Lets now add another Magic product that is as common as salt.

In fact it is salt, raw, unrefined salt from the blue waters of the Ocean.

The deep blue water of the ocean is rich in minerals and elements, in fact all the 114 elements known to man. These elements are also in perfect balance for living organisms, health and well being.

Back in the 60’s/70’s a Dr Maynard Murry did a incredible amount of research into ocean solids and wrote the book ‘Sea Energy Agriculture’ Nature’s Ideal Trace Element Blend for Farm, Livestock and Humans. It is currently published by Acres USA.

Maynard dissected hundreds of ocean creatures and never once found tumors or disorders in their organs.

Doing the same to fish from streams and lakes, many were found to have tumors etc.

In one case he dissected a 100 year old whale and found its organs in pristine condition as good as a newly born whale.

Maynard realised it was the ocean water, rich in minerals that allowed the creatures living in it to be so free of the ills that effected land creatures.

We know that at various times, all land masses were for periods of times, under the sea.

When a land mass arises from the sea it is mineral rich and once plant life establishes on the land it too is rich in minerals.

But over time through rain, erosion and leaching a lot of the minerals gained by the land are lost back into the sea. It is interesting to note that in isolated pockets on the planet, where because of the terrain, that leaching does not take place.

People living in these pockets more often than not live to over a 100 years of age, in excellent health.

The reason, Maynard says, is because of the mineral rich diet they have, which allows the cells of the body to replicate perfectly, slowing right down the aging process and maintaining very healthy organs.

Maynard believed that if you give a plant all the possible minerals and elements it may need to grow as it should, then that plant would not be susceptible to diseases common to it.

Trials proved this point by supplying Ocean Solids to say nectarine trees in a row. Every second tree received the solids, the others being the controls. Then curly leaf disease was sprayed over all the trees.

After three years the controls had all died and the Ocean Solid trees never showed any signs of the disease. A number of similar trials were done on various plants with the same results!

Maynard took this a stage further by growing various crops of grains and feeding them to 200 female mice (C3H) that had been bred to always develop breast cancer which causes their demise.

200 more of the same C3H mice were fed conventional foods of whom all died within the normal 9 month period that their condition dictated, during which time they produced the normal two or three litters. (all to die later)

The Ocean Solid fed group were sacrificed at 16 months and a definitive examination revealed no cancerous tissue. This group also produced ten litters and no sign of the cancer in the off spring! The Ocean Solids foods had removed the cancer.

If we take this to the next stage then people that grow their own vegetables and fruit with Ocean Solids will be able to have in their food chain all the minerals that those vegetables are capable of taking up.

Maynard found that vegetables etc were capable of taking up about 20 to 40 odd elements dependent on the type of plant.

On the other hand wheat and barley are capable of taking up all the 114 odd elements if available. This is why wheat grass juice has become a very important plant in our health/ food chain.

Two aspects of this have become very important in my concerns for plant health and people’s health.

If we use Ocean Solids in our gardens along with other natural plant foods, building up the soil life populations, including the worms,

then we will have very healthy plants that will not suffer from diseases unless they become stressed for some reason, or reach the end of their days.

If we grow our own vegetables, fruit and wheat grass with Ocean Solids our health can greatly improve, markedly reducing the possibility of many ills such as cancer.

Think of it, healthy roses, plants and gardens along with better health for you and your family.

And that’s what Chris Penk is — the National Party’s chief whip in Parliament. No that doesn’t involve punishing renegade MPs or providing a BDSM service, but ensuring that party MPs show up to vote in divisions.

The occasion was the removal of restrictions Thursday on walking on Parliament’s front lawns after they were resown in March. Mainstream Media, schoolkids and MPs were given free ice-creams and barbequed sausages. Unsurprisingly, it provided the opportunity to Comrade Jacinda to make a speech which was duly reported by her paid MSM.

She claimed that protesters belong outside parliament — but in practice only if they demonstrate in favour of her and her Party’s beliefs. A handful of Climatists showed up and they were fine with her. But if anti-vax-mandate protesters had showed up, we know what would have happened to them.

The Dictator of Jacindaland said it’s a place of “openness,” where we strive to “treat others with respect, empathy and kindness.” Yeah, right. She trespassed the protesters, slandered them and had the police spray tear-gas on them, fire rubber bullets at them, use nauseating sound waves on them and beat them up with a variety of batons. Unbelievable.
